These are dense, compact Christmas-tree shaped Sativa dominant plants, displaying the typical long, thin leaves. However, their floral structure, and overall bud size is much heavier than a Sativa – very large, resinous flowers. And the flowering time is more like an Indica too; Queen of Soul flowers for 60-65 days, producing heavy flowers with very exotic, tropical fruit aromas and a spicy incense undertone. Mangos, pineapples, honeydew melons, citrus and patchouli waft through the room while they’re flowering. The bag appeal of these frosty buds, reeking with exotic aromas is just incomparable. The high is very energetic and cerebral. You’re sure to find an outstanding female – with a high yield, delicious flavor, and amazing potency.
Queen of Soul is the result of a breeding program that spanned 3 generations. Starting with our favorite Cinderella 99 female which has proven for over 15 years to create the classic flavors, high, and resin production that made C99 famous. We crossed her to an exceptional Vortex (by TGA) male, then grew hundreds of her seedlings to maturity and evaluated them. The finest male from this generation was chosen to pollinate Princess (mother of Cinderella) which created a 3-way hybrid of Princess x C99/Vortex. The resulting seedlings were grown and evaluated to select a male for a second backcross to Princess – which produced the amazing hybrid that we call “Queen of Soul.”
One last tip – look for trifoliate individuals – we have found them to be extra special.
Queen of Soul Cannabis Seeds from Brothers Grimm Seeds
I called myself Mr. Soul in 1996 when the online cannabis message boards and chat rooms were just starting. There I shared growing and breeding information with like-minded folks and I founded Brothers Grimm Seeds. My breeding projects produced world-famous strains of marijuana such as Cinderella 99 (C99) and Apollo 13. These strains have also been used to create numerous award-winning hybrids. In 2016 Brothers Grimm Seeds was inducted into the High Times Seed Bank Hall of Fame. In 2018 High Times magazine picked Rosetta Stone XX for their “Top Ten of the Year” so of course I’m just as proud of the current work as much as the historical work I’ve produced.
While studying Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic in Troy NY, I also learned to grow marijuana in a spare room of my apartment. I was especially interested by Robert C. Clark’s book entitled “Marijuana Botany.” I sent a letter to the owner of the Super Sativa Seed Club in Amsterdam and after weeks of discussing breeding and genetics, I became their USA seed distributor to their American customers in 1987.
This opportunity provided me access to genetics and information that allowed me to rapidly advance my cannabis cultivation and breeding expertise. I used my engineering skills to design hydroponic systems and climate control systems for my personal growing operations. I organized the garden work flow; scheduling and performing all phases of cannabis production; seedlings, mother plants, clones, flowering, harvest, manicuring, drying/curing and seed storage.
In 2016 I took an intense interest in “feminized seeds” and decided to learn everything I could to completely understand them. After many months, I’d compiled sufficient relevant data from scientific journals to allow me to develop a breeding program. The results of my breeding program showed that 100% female seeds could be produced reliably if certain concepts were understood and strict procedures were used.
Copyleft Seeds by Soul Breeders
Copyleft is the result from the combination of classic genetics such as Big Bud & Skunk. Copyleft Is a very easy strain to grow and resistant to all types of pests as well as resistant to extreme growing conditions including lack of water and or lack of nutrients. Copyleft is recommended for guerrilla grows. This strain will produce very good results in hydro set ups and in organic grows. Copyleft is a strain that grows to a medium height with side branches full of fruity aromatic buds. The inter nodal distances are tight with the buds being compact and solid as rocks. The flavor of Copyleft is a blend of jelly sweets and skunk. Predominately acid sweet aromas with a fresh scent when smoked.
