russian cannabis seeds

The central stage on the European cannabis scene is occupied by Dutch and
Spanish breeders and our intention is to prove that Russian-grown seeds are
not in any sense inferior to those developed in other countries. Frankly
speaking, they are, at times, far better than many of the seeds that are
commercially available from other leading producers. To add credence to this
statement, our company participates in numerous international public cannabis
expositions, and as a result we have gradually developed markets beyond
Russia’s borders.

After many years of experimentation, we have achieved a line of “Express”
strains, in addition to autoflowering and feminized seeds. These are
characterized by a shorter flowering period compared with their feminized
counterparts.

Attention! Express strains are NOT autoflowering. Please do not expect buds
to develop automatically in June! However, Express strains require less
daylight sunshine to enter the flowering stage, which is of comparable
benefit to growing feminized plants. Harvest outdoor in October, two weeks earlier than feminized plants.

We began selling our seeds in 2013. Within a short time Kalashnikov Seeds had
become prominent in the post-Soviet union cannabis market and we were
actively competing with many Western seed banks –even in their local
regions. Currently, our seeds are available in seven European countries and
we are always seeking to expand into additional markets.

Our location as shown on the map is intentionally (i.e., within a radius of
20 km) and the photo is from stock footage. Anyone can add their pics, as
well.

Kalashnikov Seeds is a group of old school growers who are Soviet army
veterans. We have been breeding cannabis seeds in Russia since 2002. We are
based in the Kuban region, which is near Sochi, where we cooperate closely
with partners in Saint Petersburg and in the Far East region (close to
China). All of our strains are the result of cross-breeding AK-47 (Serious
Seeds) clones with Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Eastern European and Afghani
landrace strains.

For healthy growth, your feminized cannabis plant will need various nutrients. To start, it’ll need nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, the three major “macronutrients”. It will also need micronutrients including calcium, iron, magnesium, copper, and various others.

Strains descended from Blueberry often feature a terpene profile that lends rich, sweet, and fruity berry notes. With genetics coming out of the US West Coast, Blueberry strains are renowned for their deeply relaxing and soothing effects.

These days, with modern genetics and the advent of feminized cannabis seeds, seedy buds have fortunately become rare. Now, pretty much all decent cannabis is sinsemilla, so the word has lost its original meaning. It’s good to keep in mind, however, as it’s still sometimes used to describe quality cannabis.

OTHER ESSENTIAL TERMINOLOGY AND CONCEPTS

Male plants produce seed pods, and, if they stick around long enough, they’ll pollinate the female plants and dramatically reduce their yields. Because of that, those growing regular seeds had to identify the sex of their plants as soon as possible in order to cull the males.

Growing cannabis in a controlled environment is the best way to prevent this. Keep plant stress at a minimum, and you’ll reduce the chances of hermaphroditism significantly.

The two most commonly known cannabinoids are THC and CBD. THC is responsible for the characteristic cannabis high, while CBD, although purported to have various beneficial effects, doesn’t induce a high.

When growing indoors, manually adjusting your light/dark schedule is necessary. Growers will usually do this when plants have reached an appropriate height (about ½ of the desired final height). Simply enough, this is because plants will often stretch early on in their flowering phase, so they need room to grow appropriately.

White Russian is a stable cross of our original AK-47 and the famous award-winning clone of White Widow from the 90s. She is of medium height, developes into consistent ‘not too leafy’ plants and produces dense, very resinous flower tops (crystals start to appear after about 5 weeks of flowering).

The plants smell quite strong during the growth and flowering period. In an independent seed comparison in the UK in which over 150 different seed strains were grown, the White Russian seeds came out as the strongest plant. Winner of the overall High Times Cannabis Cup in 1996 and of the Cup for Best Bio Grass in 1997.

White Russian strain produce strong, healthy, fast-growing plants that are fantastic in appearance and effect. Very popular also for outdoor growing in Spain, France, Italy and California. This variety is our most typically Indica strain.

The plants yield very powerful buds, coated with an abundance of resin. The effect is a very strong, long lasting High, which is more cerebral (=head-high) than it is a knockout (=body-stoned). Excellent medicinal plant for pain-relief. Last awards won by White Russian: 1st prize Indoor, El Punto Cup 2005, Málaga in Spain and 2nd prize Extracts, Highlife Cup 2013, Amsterdam.
